Swimming lessons

Lily and Isaac did some great swimming lessons with Lowery's Multisport.  They both do their freestyle strokes so much better.  I wish I could enroll them in another session so they could continue improving.  We will have to see what the end of summer schedule looks like.

Spending Time with Cousins

Tommy's sister and brother in law had a conference in Las Vegas so we got to spend some time with their kids. We went to the new Children's Museum and did some swimming in our backyard.

Shauna took me, Katie and Lily to get pedicures together while she was in town.  We all had a great time.  I'm sad I didn't get a picture of Lily in the big chair, giggling as she tried out the massage chair, but oh well.  Now we are ready for the beach!

(actually this is only half of her presentation. I started helping and forgot to video tape the rest of the report on the sugar crystals. It was pretty similar to the first half though. The kids were so excited about the Rock Candy.)

Primary Talent Show
Lily had a bit of a hard time this year. She missed her cue a couple times and had a hard time holding the microphone and her props but I think she learned some new things about being on stage. ;) She actually ran off the first time she did it and really wanted to go again. She was pretty sad and mad. We need to work on "the show must go on" and not getting upset when things don't go as well as you think they will.

Last Days of School

I can't believe it is June already and Lily has a couple days left of school and then we will be in full-swing summer mode.  I'm looking forward to more lazy mornings and not looking forward to nagging Lily to get her chores done. ;-)

Isaac had his preschool graduation program last week.  He sang some cute songs and got to dress up like a pizza guy for one of them.  There is a cute video of that one.



The kids were all dressed like superheros one day, then sat down to play Batman on the Playstation. It was pretty cute so I had to take a picture. :)
 

On Memorial Day, we had a fun BBQ with friends and swimming in the pool. It was a fun time for all that came. Our sweet friends are moving away this week so we wanted to have a party for them. We will miss you guys!

Lily had a fun day at Field Day.  I was a bad mom and only put sunscreen on her face.  She came home with a bad sunburn on the back of her neck.  Poor girl!  Sorry!
 

Lily's last school project was of her own choosing. They had to demonstrate "how to" do something so she chose "How to Grow Crystals". We grew sugar crystals and borax crystals. She made a PowerPoint presentation which she presented to her class along with her results. Then she passed out rock candy we purchased at the candy shop (these were not very cheap I might add!). I think it was a big hit with the class and I know Lily had a fun time making them.
