Our Visit at the Doctor's Office
The Girl was so funny in the waiting room at the doctor's office today. After playing in the children's area for awhile she decided she wanted to sit by me and look at a book. Well, one of the pages was torn so she asked me for tape. I told her to go ask the lady at the desk for some. She went to another woman waiting and asked her for tape. She said she didn't have any, of course. So The Girl went to another woman... she pointed her in the direction of the front desk... but The Girl thought she meant one of the women that had just came in the door and was waiting in line at the desk. When The Girl asked this third woman for some tape and was denied, she got a little sad faced and walked away... but that woman quickly ushered her back and helped her get tape from the front desk. She ran back to me so excited to have a fixed book.
Next she decided to go through my purse and find some gum. She always shares her gum with me when she gets out a piece... even though I may not want it. Well, today she decided to bring some to another woman waiting to see the doctor. She said "no thank you" but The Girl made her take it anyways. She held it in her lap and said "thank you" but The Girl just stood by her, waiting. She said "chew it." Then the woman laughed a bit and said "oh, you want me to chew it, okay," and put it in her mouth. I heard another woman say, "No need to read a magazine. She is much more entertaining."The Girl is also learning too much about the other steps to being at the doctor's office... including the routine urine sample. When entering the restroom she informs me that she does not need to use the potty but that I need to go potty in the cup. And I need to put my name on it. "Write (M) on the cup, Mama," she said. Oh boy, too smart and observant!

Biggest Birthday Bash Ever!
On Saturday we had a really fun party with Lily and all of her friends. It ended up being 12 kids ages 2-4, a 5 year old, and two 10-year-olds. I was lucky enough to have FOUR awesome moms there to help me, along with our videographer Tommy. As crazy as it was, the kids all had a lot of fun. We had our front room set up with a couple kitchen sets, some little tables with tea sets, and a few shopping carts to keep them busy between activities. In the kitchen we put two big nursery tables that are low to the ground for all of our cooking activities. All the kids looked so cute in their aprons that I made (Thanks for your help Terri!) and I have gotten many nice complements from friends that they are continuing to enjoy their aprons after the party.

A California Happy Birthday!
In California, we got to celebrate birthdays for The Girl (3), Tyler (1) and Katie (who will be gone to Jerusalem on her birthday) with the whole Wolfe family including some Ingalls and some Ormes (minus Daddy). We did the Hokey Pokey and Pin-the-shoe-on-Cinderella, along with some other games. The Girl had a good time and especially enjoyed opening presents, eating the frosting off of her cupcake, and playing with Tyler's toys.
She has really enjoyed all the sweet gifts she got! She loved reading her little ballerina bear book (from Ingalls kids) to Buzz on the airplane ride home. She plays with her little dalmatian puppy and really enjoys watching 101 Dalmatians (Thanks Lanie)... when she needs a break from Toy Story 2 that is! She loves her Cinderella Polly Pocket, especially the little teeny tiny shoes and the cardboard prince (that was actually just part of the packaging background). We got to play with her bubbles (Thanks Natalie) yesterday and look forward to more bubble time in the summer. Most of all, we loved being with family.
The Girl really wanted to go to the beach so we are so glad we had awesome weather and a fun time at the beach for one of the days in California. The Girl enjoyed digging in the sand and licking her Popsicle. She loves to make new friends, even if she did make him upset by filling in the hole he was digging! :D
