The Happiest Place on Earth

Yesterday, Nauna and Bompa took The Girl to Disneyland, with me and Katie. We all had a great time! Waiting in line was hardest for The Girl unless there was somewhere for her to climb. It was especially hard after we waited for a long time to see Cinderella just to have her go off shift before it was our turn. The Girl then would call to her throughout the park, "Cinderella, where are you?" When we went back to try and catch her again, we got a special back-door entrance and the first hug from Cinderella as she came back on shift. She got right down on the ground and hugged The Girl and talked to her. The Girl was smiling lots but not talking much... a little star struck maybe? Then she asked The Girl if she could have a "princess kiss" and The Girl leaned right in with puckered lips. Cinderella said "No, no, no. Princesses kiss with their noses so they don't mess up their lipstick." As we walked away and said good bye, The Girl said "Oh no, I forgot to ask Cinderella how was the ball?" Isn't that so precious?

We also got to meet Mickey Mouse... another super long line... and wave to Minny Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Ariel, and a few others that The Girl didn't know. The Girl's absolute favorite ride was the Buzz Lightyear ride. She was so excited to see the huge Buzz, as we stood in line, telling us he needed our help shooting the robots and aliens. She just stood there staring at him and waving her little fingers. She had a good time shooting the lazer gun too. After the ride ended she ran down the exit ramp and said, "I have to tell Buzz we did it!" So we went on the ride again. And a third time just before we left the Park.

The Girl's other favorite rides included the Toontown roller coaster, teacups, Dumbo & Rocket ship, Nemo Submarine, and the Casey Jr. Train. Remember to click on the image to make it bigger!

Bompa let The Girl pick out a gift and she wanted this soft Buzz Lightyear doll. She got to take him on the last ride with her, the rocket ships. The whole way out of the park and drive home she talked to Buzz and had him talk back to her by her making this silly low-pitched voice. It was so much fun. At night she told me she wanted to sleep with Buzz, no surprise, but she "had to turn his lazers off". Ah, sweet dreams my little princess!

Oh my gosh! How adorable! I LOVE the pictures and hearing how cute Lily was when she saw the characters. That is so fun when they are old enough to start to understand all of that. what a great age to take her to disney land! you look so cute too.

you need to add a quote to lily says it best...on the way home from the beach she said, "katie, rub my stomach and i'll rub your arm." it was so funny because it came out of nowhere...what was she thinking?! :)
