Happy Birthday my Little Man!

Isaac turned two this week and we were so excited to celebrate with him. Lily loves parties so she was planning out all the details and helped me wrap his presents. Lily got him a bubble lawn mower. He LOVES it, though we haven't been able to get the bubbles to work yet. He doesn't know any better. :) He also got a fun road/railroad/mountain building set that my little brothers had as kids. I found it on craig's list and I was soo excited! We will have lots of fun with it together.

He also got an outdoor play sink. He loves playing with water! We set it up tonight and he just had a blast pumping the sink and playing with all his new water toys. We also got him a trike (I know, he got spoiled. But he is growing up soo much!). He isn't too sure about it right now but I know once he gets a hang of the pedaling, he will love it! He started saying "two", so cute like. He really enjoyed his ice cream cupcake from Cold Stone. Then we all went in the hot tub. He loves playing in the hot tub! Tomorrow will be more fun playing more with his new toys!

My sister made him this cute "Max, the Wild Thing" costume. He pretends he is a dog in it. It's pretty darn adorable!

A Fun Weekend

We had the best weather this weekend. It was sunny and warm and so nice! We know it isn't sticking around for long so we really got out and enjoyed it. Tommy did the first mow of the season yesterday and boy does our yard look good! Isaac had a great time watching him. He would follow him back and forth, occasionally helping him push for awhile. Quite the opposite of our other child! The one fearful of all things noisy. (Kind of ironic since she is exceptionally noisy most of the time!) She stayed up in her "club house" to be safe.

Lily used the last of her birthday money to go by some "play" make-up. She has been wanting to get some for weeks and I have put it off... for reasons seen in the photos below. She has lots of rules with the makeup and basically has to treat it like a dress up accessory. What have I started???

Love those green monster cheeks.

Some Cute Isaac Moments
Yesterday, I was sitting on the couch and next to me was a chair, with 5 little cups of water. I had just thrown up, no fun, and this is how Lily takes care of me. It was so sweet. Well, Isaac comes walking by with his blackberry (Daddy's old one). He is jibber-jabbering up a storm, just chatting away. He sees the cups of water and as he is talking, he picks up a cup and takes a sip. Then he walked away, talking. It was so cute. You really had to be there but hopefully you can picture it.While dropping Lily off at preschool this morning, Isaac waved goodbye and started blowing her kisses. I thought it was super sweet.
He climbed up on my lap today and pulled my hand down next to him. He touched it in the palm of my hand a few times and jibbered something, then reached up and tickled my neck and laughed. I didn't know what he was doing at first but after he did it two or three times I realized! He was doing "there was a little mouse". It is something we do when we have to get him to sit still. He has done this over 10 times to me today and just laughs and laughs after he tickles my neck. What a funny kid!

Lily's First Soccer Game

Go FIREBALLS! (This is Lily's best friend Perry.)

Lily had her first soccer game today. Tommy and I are coaching the team and I think it went really well. We had a fun little practice before the game, running and jumping and a little ball control. The kids on the team are great. Lily and Perry had a hard time with scoring but they both did really well with running around the little field. Lily was a great cheerleader too. We don't keep score but Lily was sad she didn't make any goals. Tommy tried to cheer her up by telling her she did some great "assists". Hopefully next game she will be able to make a goal. Lots of fun!

At the end of the game, Lily initiated this little huddle. She wanted to do the cheer we had practiced before hand. Goo Fireballs!

Visiting with Grandma
First off, a few funnies of Isaac:
Listening to Daddy's iPod...

Trying to ride his car like a scooter...

Talking on the blackberry...

My mom and sister and brother came out this week to visit us. It was soo nice to have them, especially because Tommy had a business trip. It was nice to have so much help with the kiddos and my mom and I got to do some fun sewing projects too.
Lily had a great time drawing in shaving cream...

Grandma Tessie reading Junie B. Jones. ... Lily was happy, just caught her with a sleepy eye

Lily playing Kimberly's games on her iPod... I think she wants one now.

Lily wrote a Princess play for everyone to act in. It was cute. Even Isaac played the Prince.

Thanks for visiting us! We sure had a fun time!

Happy Easter!

On Saturday, Lily was soo excited to see if the Easter bunny had come. We took a long drive and when we got back, there were baskets and eggs in the backyard! Isaac got a little golf set and Lily got a wooden bird house, some paints, and a color-yourself dress up doll. They had fun collecting all the eggs even though it was in the 30s outside!

My mom and sister came on Sunday night and had a yummy Easter dinner with us. It is so nice to have some family here. Lily is LOVING the attention! We had a great, relaxing weekend together. Hope your Easter was wonderful!

Robot and a couple projects

Lily wanted to make herself into a robot this week. She put the strainer on her head, put on her goggles and asked me to wrap her in aluminum foil. Then she wanted buttons on the front of her so we taped on a remote control. It was a perfect robot costume (especially for the 15 minutes it lasted).

This week I made a couple purses. It has been fun sewing again. I hope to keep it up.
