Hiking at Red Rock

We had a fun time on Saturday doing a little hiking up at Red Rock.  It is really hard to tell where the boulders end in these pictures but just trust me that there were drop off cliffs every where.  It was a little much for my mama nerves with crazy kiddos testing the limits a bit, but we were all safe in the end and the kids had a great time.

Tommy saw some rock climbers so we hiked up to find them.  We all sat on this cliff watching them for a bit while the kids drew with rocks.  It was pretty scary.

 This was the look down the cliff where we were sitting.  Yup, we just climbed up that too.

Happy Halloween!

 Our first Halloween party was at Caleb's preschool.

 He is the cutest monkey ever.  He showed me a Curious George book and then pointed at himself and said "George" and laughed.

Lily told me she wanted to be something scary this year since she is always something pretty and cute.  She chose a vampire and so Isaac went right along with her and requested a vampire costume as well.  Lily sure knows how to be scary!  I was a little nervous to go to the preschool party with her scary makeup and teeth!

 At the party the funnest thing they had was a big tarp with shredded paper on it.  The kids had so much fun throwing it at each other.

 Caleb had fun on the play toys too, especially on the bouncing zebra.  Who's ever seen a monkey on a zebra before?

First day of Preschool

Today was Caleb's first day of preschool.  Whenever I would ask him if he wanted to go to school like Lily and Isaac he would say no.  So I was a  bit nervous for him.  We got there and he went right to play.  He didn't like the idea of taking his backpack off since I had just given him his new Curious George backpack this morning, so the teacher let him keep it on for awhile.  When I said good bye he cried a little but then saw some airplanes and said, "bye mom!"  He was happy when I picked him up too and the teacher said he did really well.  She was impressed with his sorting mindset when cleaning up toys and said he sat well during their circle time.  I'm looking forward to hearing from his speech therapist and seeing him improve in that regard.  Hopefully day number two is as successful as number 1!

A Few More Birthday Pictures

On Caleb's birthday I took him to the park to play.  He showed me the toys he stowed away in his pocket. :)  He also picked out his outfit for the day.  Such a cutie 3 year old!

He opened some presents from Grandparents and Tommy and I at night time.
