My First Garden

If only I took before and after pictures... this whole area was WEED CITY. T has worked really hard (with a little help) to clean up the weeds and sort out the plants. The previous owners had planted some herbs and strawberries. T planted a few tomato plants and The Girl and I planted some carrot seeds. Anyone know what the purple flowering plant is? Some kind of herb? The strawberries taste DELICIOUS!

On the other side of the house we have a similar size garden (WEED CITY #2) that we are still working on. It has grape vines and raspberry plants. The Girl wants to plant some green beans there too. Hopefully we get that side up and running shortly. I don't like working in the dirt or pulling up the weeds, but I'm excited to see the benefits of having my own garden.

The Cinnamon Roll

The Boy's belly button totally looks like a cinnamon roll. It makes me laugh every time I change his diaper or give him a bath. :D

Play Time

Today The Girl and The Boy wore their baseball attire because we were going to go see a little league game tonight. Due to rain, we didn't end up going but I got some pictures of The Girl doing what she does best... climbing around, and The Boy doing what he does best... sleeping. (Remember you can click on a picture to see it larger.)

New Indiana Jones movie stinks

We saw the newest Indiana Jones movie last night, and WOW did it stink! My hopes weren't even that high going into it, but it was still atrocious. Sure, there was some decent action, but the movie was so OUT THERE it was painful. I would almost say that it would at least be a good kids movie, but the language was too strong for kids. I haven't disliked a movie in the theater that much in quite some time. Anyway, just a heads-up in case you were thinking about seeing it. (By the way, it was the first time we took The Boy to the movies, and he did great!)

"When I grow up..."

Lately The Girl has been telling us what she wants to be when she grows up, and it is always something different. Earlier this week it was a chef... no surprise. Yesterday, it was a doctor. Today, as we drove passed a school with kids out playing baseball, she said she wanted to be a baseball player when she grows up. In dance class, they pretended to be dinosaurs, so it is no surprise that at dinner time she told us when she grows up she wants to be a dinosaur. "A dinosaur and then a car," she added. "Like Lightning da-Queen." Too cute.

I wanna make cookies!

The Girl loves to make cookies. Today when T got home she said, "Yea! We can make cookies now." While T and I talked she was off in the kitchen getting all ready to make cookies and this is what we found. Notice the chair pushed up to the counter, the big silver bowl, and flour, sugar, and brown sugar... all of which she got out and put there herself. She's quite the character.

Second Child Photo Neglect

So I've heard that the second child gets way less photos taken than the first. I didn't see how this could be possible... but alas it is true. I went back and looked in my photo archives and by the time The Girl was 4 weeks old we had over 100 photos of her. The Boy is just over 50 photos right now. Pretty pathetic! I'll get better at taking more shots of him, cause he is so cute. :D

Even though The Boy seems to say "Quit taking pictures of me, Mom!"

Dress Up

My mom made The Girl this beautiful Cinderella dress! She sure loves it, especially adding her "glass slippers" and crown. Isn't The Boy adorable. The Girl said, "He looks like a burrito." I love T and The Girl chillin' on the couch together watching "the singers" (American Idol). It was too cute not to grab the camera and take a picture. :D
