Less than 10 weeks to go!

Here I am with my big belly... though everyone says that I'm so small. Our little boy is just good at hiding... and I have lots of torso room for him to spread out. He's also quite the acrobat or soccer player... not sure which one yet.

He is about 4 pounds and 17 inches, but will continue to grow about a half a pound of weight per week from now until about two weeks before birth. Great. That's just what I need. Even more weight to carry around!

Family Fun

A family fun activity... Guitar Hero. Even The Girl likes to pretend she is rockin' out! I just completed the Medium level and on to practicing with all 5 buttons! T has a little way to go to catch up to me but we are excited to buy a second guitar this week and a play guitar for The Girl for her birthday so we can rock out as a family!

On President's Day, we braved the cold and went to the park. It was 39 deg. outside! The Girl had a great time running around with all the kids. We all can't wait for warmer weather and more days at the park!

A New Girl Talk: WWDD?

Girl: Mama, bring that toy to me.
Mommy (busy sewing): (Girl) , you can go get it.
Girl: No, you get it, Mama.
Mommy:(Girl) , what would Dora do? I think she would go get it herself.
Girl: But Mama, Dora is not here right now!

Later, as we related the story to Daddy, The Girl said: And I had to go pick it up myself.

I love T!

Happy Valentine's Day All! Here's a little bit about my sweet husband! Thanks for the tag Monica... perfect timing. I'm not going to tag anyone... but it was fun to do and I'm sure I'd love to read it on your blog if you have a couple minutes to write about your hubby.

WHO SAID "I LOVE YOU" FIRST: he did
WHO IS TALLER: he is
WHO SINGS BETTER: duh, me.... though he does rock at some songs on Sing Star!
WHO'S SMARTER: duh, me. I always win the relationship arguments. Okay, he is pretty dang smart!
WHO PAYS THE BILLS: mostly me, but sometimes I slack and T helps keep me on track.
WHO SLEEPS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BED: duh, me. I've tried the left... way to hard to get to sleep. Actually... I would have to answer that both of us do since T tends to slide over to my side during the night. Maybe our mattress sags in the middle or maybe he is just cold.
WHO MOWS THE LAWN: T, thanks sweetie.
WHO COOKS DINNER: Me, and Shannon, Courtney, and Tammy (thanks girls), and occasionally T makes cheesy eggs or grilled cheese.
WHO DRIVES: mostly me... yeah, I like to drive and T is usually "resting" on our long road trips.
WHO'S MORE STUBBORN: hmm... I'm always right and T is stubborn to admit it. Does that answer the question?
WHO KISSED WHO FIRST: T kissed me on the forehead first. Later we had "the talk" and he asked "does this mean I can kiss you now?"
WHO ASKED WHO OUT FIRST: I asked him if he wanted to catch a movie. He leaped out of his chair and said "I'll go see what's playing," as he darted out of my apartment and over to his.
WHO PROPOSED: duh, T. Wouldn't have had it any other way. Waited a whole two days after his sister's wedding.
WHO HAS TRAVELED MORE: T travels more on business now... but I'd still say he is catching up to all the traveling I did in College. I've even been over to FRANCE! :D
WHO WEARS THE PANTS IN THE FAMILY: hmm, maybe slightly more me... I tend to control our relationship a bit more, but that is cause T cares so much and wants me to be happy. When we were dating he would get teased that he was "whipped," which I didn't mind. That meant he would do anything for me. I love that I can still get my way some of the time. :D
WHO IS BETTER AT GUITAR HERO: ME! Okay, this question wasn't really in the original but I had to throw that in there. Better practice more guitar and less football, buddy!

T is a sweet husband and an awesome dad.The Girl talks about him all day and gets soo excited when he comes home from work. She loves to make him pretend to be a kitty or a dog. This means he has to play with her like normal, but meow or woof as they play. It is quite funny. T is very good at helping around the house and complementing me on the things I get done. His job is not easy and he doesn't seem to ever get as much sleep as he needs, but he does the best he can for us and I appreciate him so much!

Our Car Ride Conversation:

Lily: "Mama, I'm not a cow."
Me: "Nope, you are not a cow."
Lily: "or a dog, or a cat, or a firework, or a... (long list of things), or a sign. Mama? (as if to make sure I'm listening still) I'm not a tire."
Me: "Nope, you are not a tire."
Lily: "I'm not anything."
Me: "You are a girl."
Lily: "Yes. And a Lily."

Quilt project

Here are some images of the Mary Engelbreit quilt my sister-in-law and I made for my mother-in-law. Kirsti made the cute throw pillows on top too! How cute it all looks together!

Now Entering the Third Trimester

I'm 28 weeks along!

Our baby is close to 16 inches long and weighs about 2.5 pounds.

We are all so excited, especially The Girl. She can't wait to meet her baby brother.
