Lily Talk

Lily said some cute things today.

"Mom, when you have another baby, if it is not a girl, we are getting a dog!"

"Is Grandma going to have any more babies?"
"No."
"So, that's why you got a dog."

While listening to the music in the restaurant bathroom, "Mom, I am a great singer.  I should be on this speaker."

"Goodbye, Boise. Helllllloooo, Las Vegas!"

Well, it's official: we are moving to Las Vegas! The caption for this post is actually a direct quote from Lily when we drove into Vegas to look around the area a few weeks ago. Email us for our address. We are sure going to miss all of our friends in Boise and Meridian, but we're looking forward to this new adventure for our family!

Lily Moment

I got a cute email from a friend today who's son is in Lily's kindergarten class.  He came home from school today and this is what he said:
"Lily looked different today."  So I asked how and he said she was wearing lipstick and makeup.  So I asked if she looked pretty, and he said, "I couldn't take my eyes off her."  Just thought you'd get a kick out of that.

Funny girl.  I guess one of Lily's friends gave her some lipstick today.  We had a little chat about lipstick is only for dress up time.  Especially since this was hot pink lipstick, not chapstick, and looked like she was going for the clown look since most of it was on her face and not her lips. :)

Penguin party

Look what I made today:

Penguin Olives with Cream Cheese tummys and carrot feet.  They were pretty cute. :D

Lily was having a Penguin Party in Kindergarten today. She got all dressed up in black and white and the parents were supposed to bring a black and white food. At first I thought of Oreos, but glad I found these online instead. We'll see how the kids liked them!

Science Saturday

On Saturday we went to a fun science event for children at the local university. Lily had a great time doing little science experiments and Isaac had a good time being out and running around. The coolest thing they made were these little spider toothbrush "robots". They have a simple body of toothbrush head, pipe cleaners and a batter with a little motor on top that you connect a wire to each end and it makes the spider vibrate, which makes it wiggle around on the table. Lily also learned about airplanes, forest fires, avalanches, and built a dome with marshmallows/gum drops and toothpicks.

And a few milestones for the week... Caleb learned how to roll from his back to his tummy (just one side so far). Isaac learned how to climb out of his crib (he has "fallen" out a time or two but now he can do it really well.) So he is back in his port-a-crib tent for now.
