Happy Halloween

We had a fun time celebrating Halloween!
First off, Preschool Halloween Party! The kids all looked awesome in their costumes. We made baby food jar pumpkin candle holders and SLIME! We did the monster mash and read some cute Halloween stories.
On Sunday night we finally got to carve pumpkins together. Lily did really well coming up with her own design and doing much of the carving herself.
On Halloween I got to go into Lily's classroom and do an art project with the kids. I dyed pumpkin seeds lots of colors and the kids made mosaic tiles with them. It was a lot of fun.
You can see all the pictures for her school party here. Lily said bobbing for apples was really tough!

After school, I took the kids to an outdoor mall that was having trick or treating.  I entered Isaac into a costume contest put on by the local radio station.  He won first place!  I was pretty excited, since I made his costume and everything!  We won a $100 gift card to Whole Foods Market and a Tom and Jerry DVD (which he was excited about).  Lily had a hard time with the fact that she didn't get to get on the stage with us, she didn't win, and everyone was commenting on how cute Isaac's costume was.  :)  It was a nice lesson in supporting her brother.  After trick or treating there, Tommy took them to a few houses in our neighborhood and then we called it at night.  Turned out lights out after 4 or 5 groups of teenagers around 8:30. ;)

how do you dye pumpkin seeds? Sounds fun! Congrats on winning the contest, we won't tell Lily or Isaac that YOU actually won since you made it ;)
