A Trip to the Mountains

Last Saturday we drove to a near by mountain range and enjoyed temperatures in the low 70s.  It was soo nice!  I brought jackets for the kids in case their bodies were shocked by the 40 degree temperature difference... WOW that sounds like soo much!  but we all ended up just enjoying it.  Tommy and a buddy went running while his buddy's wife (my friend) and I played with the kids.  They enjoyed our little nature walk, picking up sticks and pine cones, bathroom breaks in the forest (oh boy), and some snacks.  Lily even built a little "hide out".  We will probably have to go back and bring a few more things to keep us entertained while we are there.

Caleb is getting to be quite the climber.  He enjoyed crawling around in Daddy's truck while the rest of the kids played in the dirt.
